The short version

We collect what we need to quote your job, do the work, invoice you and keep our records straight. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not send marketing emails you did not ask for.

Who we are

Flynn’s Electrical, Air Con & Solar, trading in the Northern Territory. NT electrical contractor licence C4605. You can reach us on (08) 7918 1115 or at admin@darwinaircons.com.au.

What we collect

When you contact us. Your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property, and whatever you tell us about the job. That comes in through the enquiry form on this site, by email, or over the phone.

When we do work for you. Records of the job — what we quoted, what we did, photographs of the work and of things like switchboards, the date, and what was invoiced. Photographs are how we keep an accurate record of what a site looked like before and after we touched it.

When you visit this website. Standard analytics and advertising information — which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and whether the visit followed one of our ads. This is collected through Google’s tools and is not tied to a name.

We do not ask for and do not want your bank details, card numbers, date of birth, or any government identifiers.

Why we collect it

  • To quote the job and get back to you
  • To do the work, order the right materials and turn up at the right address
  • To invoice you and keep the accounts
  • To meet the record-keeping obligations that come with a licensed trade, including electrical safety certification
  • To work out which of our ads bring in real enquiries and which waste money

Who else sees it

Only where the job requires it:

  • HubSpot — the enquiry form on this site runs through HubSpot, so form submissions are stored there
  • Google — website analytics and advertising measurement
  • Our accountant and our accounting software — for invoicing and tax
  • Suppliers and manufacturers — where a warranty claim or a special order needs your details
  • Regulators and network operators — where the work requires a certificate of compliance or a connection application

Some of these services store information overseas. That is normal for software of this kind, and it is worth you knowing.

We do not sell your information. Not to lead brokers, not to other trades, not to anyone. If you gave us your number to get a quote, that is the only reason we have it.

Photographs

We photograph our work. Mostly that is a record for the job file — what a switchboard looked like before we opened it, what a completed installation looks like.

Sometimes we use those photos on this website or in advertising, because showing real work matters more than stock images. When we do, we use photos of the equipment and the work, not of people, and not anything that identifies whose house it is.

If you would rather we did not use photos from your job at all, tell us and we will not. No explanation needed.

How long we keep it

Job records, quotes and invoices are kept for at least seven years, which is what the tax and business record rules require. Electrical certification records are kept in line with the obligations that come with the licence. Enquiries that never became jobs are kept while they are still useful and cleared out after that.

Keeping it safe

Information is held in password-protected accounts and reputable business software. Only the people who need it to do their job can get to it. No system is perfect and we are not going to claim otherwise, but we do not hold the sort of information that is worth stealing, and we have deliberately kept it that way.

Asking us what we hold, or asking us to delete it

You can ask what we have about you, ask us to correct something wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email admin@darwinaircons.com.au or ring (08) 7918 1115 and we will sort it out.

Two honest caveats. We may need to check you are who you say you are before handing over information about a property. And there are records — certificates of electrical safety, invoices — that we are required to keep even if you ask us to delete them. If that applies we will tell you which ones and why.

Cookies and advertising

This site uses cookies for analytics and to measure whether our advertising works. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. You can also control what Google shows you at myadcenter.google.com.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first — email admin@darwinaircons.com.au and we will look into it and come back to you. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. This version is dated 3 August 2026.
